Heaven on earth.
The picture above was the view from our hotel room balcony. Every hour of the day we had a breathtaking view.
Positano was the best part of the trip for me. The people, the places, the food, nothing can compare. The first day we had wine on our balcony before we had dinner at Cafe Positano, it was a beautiful night. We learned that in Positano you walk a lot…. and that is an understatement. You walk up steps, you walk down steps, you walk up streets, you walk down streets- all while dodging fiats and mini coops- Easier said then done!
The following day we shopped around the little town and enjoyed the culture of Positano. We were introduced to lemonchello spritzers and in that moment we knew we belonged.
The third day we took a day trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. This was extremely interesting! Pompeii was once a thriving city that was buried after the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Walking around to see what was left of the town was unimaginable. The history at this landmark was life changing. We climbed up to the top of Mount Vesuvius and learned how great of shape we were all in LOL. It was a very steep climb up and down but we made it and it is very cool to say we were on an active volcano!
My FAVORITE part of our Positano trip was the boat tour we did. We took a boat from Positano to Capri and it was incredible. Our captain, Franchesco, was not the only great view that trip. He took us around showing us beautiful landmarks. The best part was swimming in the clear blue Mediterranean water.
Our last day we spent our time walking around the town and enjoying our favorite spritzers. We went out to dinner and had so many great laughs. We ended our night at Music on the Rocks which was a near by club. We had a drink on the rooftop but the downstairs of the club was actually closed for a private event. My family and I had no problem crashing that party.
I cannot wait to go back to this beautiful place. I left my heart in Positano!
