Balls of Fury

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

Hello Everybody!

This past week I came across this little treat and oh my god my life has changed for the better. It’s the simplest recipe and takes very little time to prepare! I’ve decided to make this recipe for the big football games today and I actually have a cool alteration to the Balls of fury to make them game ready! Here is what you’ll need:

– 1 cup of peanut butter ( I use JIF all natural, you can also substitute PB for almond butter)

– 3/4 cup of steel cut oats

– 2 to 3 tbsp of cacao power

– 1 tbsp of coconut oil

– 2/3 tbsp of organic maple syrup

– 1 tsp of vanilla extract

NOW the fun part, time to get those hands a little dirty. Mix together all the ingredients. I use my hands to mix it up mainly because I have no tools that work well to mix something like this. However, if you rather use more appropriate equipment to mix up the ingredients then be my guest. After it is all mixed up it should look something like this:

Once you have this it is time to make those Balls of fury!  The football shape for these treats make it fun for any type of event/party you are going to for the game! So take a spoon full of that mixture and create a shape somewhat like the ones below ( in the picture below I wanted to show you the normal round ones I usually make as well as the football shaped ones for the special occasion)

After you have your football shapes, to make them look more like footballs I took flakes of coconut to make the football lines. You could also use greek yogurt (which is so much easier then coconut flakes) but in my opinion coconut and chocolate taste amazing together!

Look how cute!!! And they are so delicious! After you are done decorating the treats, put them in the freezer for about and hour and they will be perfection!

I hope you enjoy this recipe! Thank you for reading!

Go Jags!

xo, Lauren
